Cetizen and MobileKoreaTV are reporting on the first sighting of Samsung's rumoured 8 megapixel phone. The handset was shown by Samsung bigwig Ki-Tae Lee at a recent publicity event. The WCDMA device goes beyond traditional point-and-shoot with some manual camera controls, auto focus, Pictbridge mobile printing and a 16 million colour LCD screen.
"Increasing the number of pixels while realizing digital camera-quality is a main task of developing handset camera module", enthused Lee. He later added "The new phone offers image quality of premium digital camera and will be available in domestic market with in November".
Looks like the western world won't be seeing this phone for a while.
