Samsung have released their SGH-D307 clamshell on Cingular in the US. The phone features a dual flip hinge design allowing the screen to be opened either lengthwise like an ordinary clamshell phone or widthwise like a laptop computer. The tri-band GSM phone boasts EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth, a QWERTY keyboard, SMS dictation and voice recording. However it is incapable of video playback, has no camera and, apparently, cannot play MP3s. It is available immediately on Cingular in the US on a 2 year contract for $200 after rebate.
