Sprint today announced that their newest Power Vision phone is the Sanyo MM-7500. This ruggedized clamshell phone features a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, macro and zoom modes (digital zoom - boo), and video recording. The 1.8" 220 x 176 primary screen boasts 260000 colours and to make use of the EV-DO 3G connectivity, there is also a Sprint customization package known as 'Themes' where screensavers, ringtones and music can be downloaded. The device has 70MB of onboard memory which, according to Sprint, allows for storage of "Up to 2900 files". MP3, AAC, and AAC+ music formats are supported and there is a 'Push-to-talk' button for walkie-talkie functionality (discussed recently here).
